Ok I'll try to make this short and sweet. I know we all hate rules but we have to have them. So please read them. Don't make the time I took to type these up a waist of time.
1. GM/PP: Please don't be a loser and God Mod and Power Play. No auto hitting, taking control of other members pokemon. DO NOT try and kill trainers with pokemon. Don't pull a bunch of shit in order to make sure you win. Use your common sense.
2. Moves: You may use up to two moves per post and may dodge once per post. Our site fallows the three strikes rule for dodges. You can dodge an attack twice before you MUST be hit. Feel free to combine your moves how ever you wish. Be creative, entertaining and please have fun.
2a. Counters: On a similar note please make sure to be logical and realistic with your counters. Flame thrower can not counter water gun. Same with swift vs psychic. The psychic move will always win. To be honest I don't even know how anyone could think that would work. Please use your common sense.
3. We on First Generation don't care how you use a move as long as it makes sense. For instance, if you use Psychic, you are not confined to simply blasting with Psychic energy and such. You are given freedom to do as you wish. Make battles, once again, entertaining, creative, and enjoyable, guys. Don't make them chores.
3a. Logical Sense On a similar note, don't bother with percentages. If it hits, it hits. Honestly. Also, status effects do have some significance, but it's up to the receiving end if they actually become inflicted or not. However, if you take a Will-O-Wisp directly and don't get burned, you are colossally stupid.
4. Mary Sues or Gary Lewes: Your character is not Superman. They are not perfect or invincible. Your characters can not know everything there is about battling. If your character fights someone stronger than them they will most likely lose. Say your pokemon is level 15 and you go up against a level 30 pokemon you WILL get your ass kicked. There is no way you could win. Please people use some common sense before going into a battle.
5. Be Realistic: I want you all to be as realistic as possible. I want to see your character grow, learn and develop. Your character is not set in stone. They do age, there personality may change a little. They may start liking water types now instead of fire types. That is what Roleplaying is for. It is absolutely no fun to start at the top guys. So don't even try.
